Air Services

TES provides air services to help clients condition their pipeline assets. Perhaps you require dewatering and drying to meet end-client dryness specification. Perhaps you require pigging-with-air for a staged hydrotest campaign. TES will carefully plan these activities and follow through with safe and efficient field execution. Review the services below to learn how we can help you achieve goals.

Dewatering and Drying

Do you require pipeline dewatering and drying to a -20 °C or -40 °C dew point specification? Technical Energy Solutions (TES) conducts dewatering and drying of pipelines to achieve your dew point target. Either of dry air or dry nitrogen can be utilized. Typically, pigging is conducted to remove bulk water followed by continuous purging to dry the pipeline to specification.

TES will generate a project-specific engineered procedure combined with a risk assessment to enable safe and efficient field execution. By applying this methodical approach, TES helps you accelerate the drying process. As is customary for TES, parameters are monitored and verified utilizing calibrated instruments to drive safe and efficient operations.

Pneumatic Testing

Do you need to prove pressure integrity of a pipeline without introducing water for a hydrotest? Do you need to prove pressure integrity of a pipeline but cannot introduce water due to freezing risk? Technical Energy Solutions (TES) conducts pneumatic testing to confirm pipeline integrity. Typically, a system is pressurized with either of nitrogen or air and a pressure test is recorded for a set duration as specified by client or relevant industry code.

TES will generate a project-specific engineered procedure combined with a risk assessment to enable safe and efficient field execution. By applying this methodical process TES helps you prove pressure integrity of your pipeline while avoiding the introduction of liquids and / or risk of system damage due to freezing. As is customary for TES, parameters are monitored and verified utilizing calibrated instruments to drive safe and efficient operations.

Pigging

Do you need to propel pigs through a pipeline? Technical Energy Solutions (TES) conducts pipeline pigging with air. Pigging with air can be utilized for cleaning, dewatering, and drying of new pipelines. When drying, pigging is typically conducted to remove bulk water followed by continuous purging to dry the pipeline to target dew-point. In some cases, pigging with air can also be utilized to propel inspection tools provided risks are properly mitigated.

TES will generate a project-specific engineered procedure combined with a risk assessment to enable safe and efficient field execution. By applying this methodical approach, TES helps you execute an efficient pigging program. As is customary for TES, parameters are monitored and verified utilizing calibrated instruments to drive safe and efficient operations.
